This Privacy Policy explains how Shopikat ("Shopikat", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use shopikat.com and related stores, portals and apps (the "Platform"). It is designed to meet the EU GDPR, Brazil's LGPD, California's CCPA/CPRA, and Cameroon's Law No. 2010/012.
Company registration (RCCM) and VAT numbers are pending and will be added once issued. A final review by qualified counsel is recommended.
1. Who is responsible
Shopikat is operated by Shopikat SARL, Carrefour Cité, Douala, Cameroun, registration Not yet available. For privacy questions: privacy@shopikat.com.
When you shop in a seller's store, that seller is the data controller for their customer relationship and Shopikat acts as a data processor on the seller's behalf (see our Data Processing terms in the Seller Agreement).
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, password (hashed), role (seller, supplier, delivery agent, customer).
- Store & catalogue data: store name, products, prices, media.
- Order & delivery data: items, amounts, delivery address, geolocation for delivery routing, order status.
- Payment data: mobile-money / cash-on-delivery transaction references and wallet balances. Card or mobile-money credentials are handled by our payment partners, not stored by us.
- KYC data: identity information you submit for verification and withdrawals.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser, pages viewed, and cookie identifiers.

4. Third parties / sub-processors
We share data with service providers strictly to run the Platform, including: Google (Analytics, Maps), Meta (advertising pixel), Cloudflare (bot protection / Turnstile), Wachap (WhatsApp notifications), Tara / mobile-money providers (payments), Cloudinary (media hosting), Hostinger (hosting/DNS), and email providers. We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some providers process data outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may access, correct, delete, port, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and (California) opt out of "sale/sharing". Contact privacy@shopikat.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
8. Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 16 (or the age set by local law). We do not knowingly collect their data.
